Cardiac conditions are the leading cause of pregnancy-related deaths and disproportionately affect non-Hispanic Black people – and 80% of all pregnancy-related deaths are preventable, regardless of cause.

TeamBirth is a joint project endeavor with TIPQC and Ariadne Labs supporting open communication among patients, their support people, and clinicians during birth.

Tennessee’s tiniest babies have fragile and still maturing lungs. Improving their odds of avoiding Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia is the second project in the Tennessee Tiniest Baby Bundle.

The first project in the Tennessee Tiniest Baby Bundle is the prevention of severe intraventricular hemorrhage (sIVH).  Intraventricular hemorrhage is bleeding inside or around the ventricles of the brain.

The TIPQC Community Resource Council aims to connect like-minded individuals, gather feedback from community organizations, and engage community leaders in Quality Improvement work.

To promote safe vaginal delivery for ALL in the birthing population presenting with a nulliparous, term, singleton, vertex pregnancy (NTSV) and thus decrease NTSV cesarean delivery rates to <23.6% in all participating Tennessee birthing facilities by Summer 2024.

In the summer of 2024 we traveled to each of the five Tennessee perinatal regions for a free, provider centered training on Substance Use Screening and MAT with TIPQC’s Project Lead, Dr. Jessica Young! 

In the summer of 2024 TIPQC traveled to each of the five Tennessee perinatal regions for a free, continuing education for doulas led by a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician. 

Tennessee remains under-resourced in the need for lactation professionals. These professionals provide a critical support for moms and babies during their initial and ongoing journey through breastfeeding.
