Anne Santa-Donato, MSN, RNC-OB

Anne Santa-Donato is the Director of Special Programs and Projects at AWHONN and has more than 40 years of experience in low and high-risk perinatal nursing practice, education, and administration. She holds a master’s degree in maternal-infant nursing from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Anne has co-authored evidence-based publications related to maternal mortality and post-birth warning signs, low- and high- risk perinatal care, antepartum fetal assessment, breastfeeding, prematurity, late preterm infant care, and postpartum discharge planning and follow-up. Ms. Santa-Donato currently directs AWHONN’s Post-Birth Warning Signs Program, including a current Merck for Mothers Grant, and leads AWHONN’s work in the HRSA Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Program as the AWHONN Project Director, AWHONN AIM State Nurse Leaders’ Liaison, and Program Clinical Specialist.
